SOMA was started in the most unconventional way, after doing work experience with Julie from The Joyful Path , and helping to do massages on a carers retreat, she was asked to join the Fleurieu Health Services providing massages and facials on their retreats in in the Carers Centre. After funding for the centre was pulled and it was shut down, Deani needed to find somewhere she could still see her clients. That is when she decided to take the show on the road, and became the first in the Victor Harbor region to offer spa treatments in the comfort of your own home. She wanted every member of the community to be able to feel amazing, and 7 years later, she is still offering those same spa treatments, mobile, as well as in her thoughtfully set up home salon
